Pilates Circuit
This course is a five week course that will help you develop more body awareness through the use of various pieces of equipment designed to give resistance while maintaining alignment and length. This course is held at various times on Fridays from January 11th through February 8th and costs $125 for all 5 sessions.

Moving with Arthritis
Time: 12:05pm - 1:00pm
Arthritis demands a more individualized method of stretching, toning and strengthening the body. It requires understanding our minimum and maximum abilities so that moving will be fun and pain-free. Sensitivity to joints is key. This class will teach you basic therapeutic movements, easy stretches, simple strengthening exercises, and a way to move daily with greater ease. This class is one of the many introduction classes that Oakwood offers on Saturdays from 12:05-1:00pm. There is no fee for this class.

Adult Swim Clinic
Swim Clinic is held every Monday and Wednesday from February 4th - February 25th with Swim Instuctor Meshelle Milliman. There will be basic swim stroke instruction, conditioning & training for individuals lap swimming practices. Costs $42 per person. Sign-ups for the February Swim Clinic begin on January 15th.

Group Reformer Beg II/Int
This class is a five week series of which you will use a Pilates Allegro Reformer to refine exercises that develop core control, strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. Classes will be tailored to the abilities and needs of each participant. Various levels are offered. This class will be held in the Wood Studio with Pilates Trainer Jessica Ho on Mondays from 1:30-2:30pm and runs from January 7th through February 11th. (No class on January 21st). It costs $125 to participate.

Competitive Swimming Stroke Instruction
Time: 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Competitive Swimming for the Spring of 2008 will consist of three 3-week sessions of stroke instruction. All four competitive swimming strokes, starts, turns and finishes will be part of this program. This program is open to ages 5 and older that can swim nonstop, one length of the pool freestyle and one length of the pool backstroke or breaststroke. Classes will be held between 3:00pm and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Each class is 30 minutes in length and will be limited to 7 swimmers per coach. Fees are $85 per session. Registration will begin Friday, December 14th and registration information is available at the Activities Desk.

Pre-season Sports Training
Time: 4:00pm - 4:45pm
Pre-Season Sports taining is for Ages 8 and up and is held on Mondays from 4:00pm-4:45pm. This training session will be in the Gymnasium and will be taught by Catherine Skinner. This training will consist of Cardio, Plyometrics, Balance training, Core training, weight training and sports specific stretches and exercises. Cost is $45 per memeber and Sign ups are held at the Activities Desk.

Do you want to try something new and exciting? Do you want to be pushed? Do you want to feel like you've accomplished something when you leave the gym? If so, sign up for the Winter Session of Boot Camp Instructed by Silviya Govedarska. This class will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am-10:30am starting on January 17th and going till February 26tth. It will focus on High Interval Training, Multiple joint exercises which incorporate the entire body, and will "blast the abs" with numerous exercises which target the entire core. $200 per member and $225 per nonmember.

Use the upcoming winter months to get strong, fit and FAST!! Join Carol Monti in her annual Winter Cycling Series and get ready to RIDE! All classes are geared towards very specific and structured intervals with proven cycling drills and guaranteed to enhance your fitness and performance on and off the bike. This 10 week series is a great class for competitive athletes who are looking to increase their power and speed for the upcoming season and those simply searching for a serious new challange. Space is limited so sign up NOW! This class runs from January 10 through March 13 from 6:45am-7:45am every Thursday and costs $100.

Introduction to Indoor Cycling
Time: 12:05pm - 1:00pm
Learn proper bike set-up, the five basic movements of indoor cycling, correct form and hand posistioning. This class will also give you a basic knowledge of heart rate training and maximizing your fitness goals. This is one of the many introduction classes that Oakwood offers on Sauturdays from 12:05pm-1:00pm. This class is free of charge.

You will also learn how to organize your shoulder girdle and upper back for improved posture and ease of movement. Classes will be tailored to the abilities and need of each participant. Various levels are offered. This is a 5 week session held in the wood studio Mondays from 1:30-2:30pm with Jessica Ho. Fee is $125.

Competitive Swimming for the Spring of 2008 will consist of three 3-week sessions of stroke instruction. All four competitive swimming strokes, starts, turns and finishes will be part of this program. This program is open to ages 5 and older that can swim nonstop, one length of the pool freestyle and one length of the pool backstroke or breaststroke. Classes will be held between 3:00pm and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Each class is 30 minutes in length and will be limited to 7 swimmers per coach. Fees are $85 per session. Registration will begin Friday, December 14th and registration information is available at the Activities Desk.

Spring Basketball League
Time: 7:00pm - 10:00pm
Location: Gymansium
The Spring Basketball League is open to Members on Wednesday Nights from 7:00pm-10:00pm. The league starts on February 27th and runs till May 14th. Cost is $50 per member and Sign ups are held at the Activities Desk and conveniently inside the Gymansium. Come sign up today!

Winter Cycling Series
Time: 6:45am - 7:45am
Location: Wood Studio
Use the upcoming winter months to get strong, fit and FAST!! Join Carol Monti in her annual Winter Cycling Series and get ready to RIDE! All classes are geared towards very specific and structured intervals with proven cycling drills and guaranteed to enhance your fitness and performance on and off the bike. This 10 week series is a great class for competitive athletes who are looking to increase their power and speed for the upcoming season and those simply searching for a serious new challange. Space is limited so sign up NOW! This class runs from January 10 through March 13 from 6:45am-7:45am every Thursday and costs $100.

Mom's Day Out
Time: 11:00am - 2:00pm
Join the Kid's Club Team the last Thursday of every month from 11:00am-2:00pm for Mom's Day Out! Children walking to six years old are invited to join us for activities, lunch and a movie! $20 per child and Sign-ups are held in Childcare, beginning two weeks prior to each Mom's Day event. Spaces are Limited.

Time: 8:00pm - 11:00pm
Location: Gymnasium
The Spring Volleyball League is open for Members and Non-Members onThursday Night from 8:00pm-11:00pm Starting on February 28th and ending May 15th. The Costs are $40 per member and $100 per non-member. Sign ups are held at the Activities Desk. Come by and Sign up today!

Pilates Circuit
This one-of-a-kind Pilates workout will help you develop more body awareness through the use of various pieces of equipment designed to give resistance while maintaining alignment and length. It will provide you with tools to strengthen your upper and lower body, the core and improved your overall flexibility and endurance. Equipment used: Reformer, Trapeze Table, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, BOSU Balance Trainer. This class is one hour long and runs for 5 weeks costing $125. It is offered with various instructors on fridays from 9:00am-12:00pm. Stop by the Activities desk to Sign up for the Pilates Circuit Class today! Classes begin February 22 and run through March 21.
