Oakwood's specialty classes are designed for children 3 to 17 years old.
Instruction is on-going during four sessions to allow members to
participate almost anytime during the year. Children must be
pre-registered through Activities. Please refer to
Master Schedule for more information,
including specific classes, age limitations and proper attire. Contact Kids'

Jessica Ho
Kid Exercise Manager, Gymnastics
Jessica Ho has been a personal trainer for over seven years, and a Stott
Pilates mat and reformer instructor for three years. Growing up in Hawaii
has kept Jessica constantly active and looking for fun things to do. Jessica
has a love of many sports, her favorites include gymnastics, basketball,
cheerleading, dance, surfing, skiing, and recently Tae Kwon Do. As a
competitive gymnast for over 13 years she placed first in the All-Around
competition at the 1998 Hawaii State Gymnastics Championships and numerous
others. Jessica was also a member of the Seattle Pacific University
gymnastics team. Traveling back to Hawaii, Jessica became a member of the
Brigham Young University Hawaii collegiate cheerleading squad for three
years. As part of the 2001-02 BYUH power lifting team, she set four records
in her division and placed first at the 2001 Hawaii State Power Lifting
Championships. Jessica has completed six Honolulu Marathons, a 192-mile
relay, and recently completed two Triathlons.
Professionally, Jessica has been a gymnastic coach for 11 years. She has
taught recreational as well as competitive gymnastics. Jessica received her
Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise and Sport Medicine in 2001. She is also a
certified trainer through NASM, and Function Dynamics, Stott Pilates, and is
also Bosu certified. As a new mom, Jessica enjoys spending time with her
family and trying to stay active.

Keri Bonavito
Gymnastics
Keri Bonavito is the
newest member of Oakwood’s gymnastic instruction team. Keri was a
competitive gymnast for several years receiving numerous accolades for her
gymnastic performances. She is also an accomplished coach and has taught
toddler through competitive gymnastics for over seven years. During her time
in Colorado as a Head Coach, Keri’s team brought home three consecutive
Colorado State Championship Titles. Keri is also certified as an ACE
Personal Trainer, Pilates Allegro as well as a Kickboxing and Weight
Training Instructor. However, now with the birth of her daughter, Keri’s
time is primarily spent being a wife and a mom! She is able to sneak away a
few hours a week to spend it with your little ones; teaching them about the
wonderful world of gymnastics!

Becky Correll
Gymnastics
Becky Correll has been an aerobics and gymnastics instructor since 1983; and
has been with the Oakwood gymnastics program for over three years. Becky
started her gymnastics career in 1970 where she received numerous awards
including “Outstanding Senior Athlete” and was a “State Qualifier”. Becky
is also a former fitness competitor. In her spare time Becky enjoys working
out and going for walks with her mother. Professionally, Becky is a
Certified Personal Trainer through ACE and AFFA certified Group Exercise
Instructor.

Mark Doherty
Basketball Coach
Mark has been a
basketball coach for about 5 years, and currently coaches with MVP flight.
Mark grew up in a basketball family and started playing at a very young
age. Mark played basketball all the way through high school and onto
college at Cal Poly State University. Here, Mark received a bachelor’s
degree in Sports Management. Mark also spends his time referring games as a
Certified Basketball Official.

John
Drath
Head of Tae Kwon Do
John Drath helped to start the Tae Kwon Do program when the club first
opened in 1999 and has now returned to head up the program. John has had
extensive Tae Kwon Do training and is currently a Second Degree
Internationally Certified Black Belt. In 1997 John won gold at the U.S.
Collegiate Nationals, and took silver at the Collegiate National Team trials
in 1998. From 2002 to 2004, Master Drath placed in the top three at the
U.S. Senior Nationals for three consecutive years. John also took silver at
the National Team Trials in 2004. Just as John excels as a competitor, he
is also an excellent instructor. John has been teaching the art of Tae Kwon
Do to children and adults for over eleven years. John graduated from the
University of Oregon with a degree in Fine Arts in 1998.

Claudia
Florian-McCaffrey
Dance and Yoga
Claudia Florian-McCaffrey, is a graduate in modern dance of the Julliard
School in New York, a dance teacher, choreographer and Hatha Yoga
instructor. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she combines the
passion of dance, and the strength of Hatha Yoga with the inspiration of the
heart in her teaching of dance. She resides in the San Francisco Bay area
and has been teaching at Oakwood Athletic Club since 2004.
Having been brought up in the dance field, Claudia, a dedicated teacher,
mentors students in the holistic exploration of the body through meditation
and the art of modern dance. Claudia has developed a multi-cultural
movement curriculum that has reached an internationally diverse audience.
She has collaborated with composers, visual artists, and poets while being
commissioned by universities and seminaries across the United States to
bring dance into learning environments. She has choreographed and performed
all over North and South America, in places such as Buenos Aires, New York,
North Carolina, California, Indiana, Chicago and Michigan. Since 2005
Claudia has been a teacher artist for the Julia Morgan center of the arts
with a Lincoln Center program bringing the arts to public schools. She
offers the concrete tools of technique and encourages students to be in
touch with their creative abilities. Her genuine enthusiasm for child
development makes her classes fresh and alive.
Jason
McEuin
Tae Kwon Do
Jason McEuin has an extensive competitive record; from 1998 to 2006 he
competed in over 23 national competitions. At only seventeen years of age
Jason took the silver at the U.S. Junior Olympics and followed it up with
bronze two years later. Jason also took gold at the U.S. Junior Black Belt
Festival three years in a row. Jason has competed in the U.S. Open five
times and received three silver and two bronze medals.
He was a U.S. National team
member in 2003. Jason’s
most recent award includes gold at the 2006 National Collegiate
Championships. Until recently Jason has been training to the U.S. Olympic
training facility in
Colorado Springs,
Colorado. Jason now trains with Master Drath in Orinda.
Jason is
currently attending City College of San Francisco pursuing a degree in
Political Science.

Nichole
Milliman
Dance
Nichole Milliman has been an instructor at Oakwood Athletic Club for six
years as a Predance and Creative Dance instructor. Nichole has been dancing
since the age of three and wants to pass on her love for the art of dance to
other children. Nichole has always been a very creative individual and
translates that creativity into her classes, such as the always fun
Halloween “Haunted House”. Nichole also loves to attend the San Francisco
Ballet performances, music, and art.

Eric
Olafsson
Gymnastics, Group Games, Kid Gym, Play with Me
Eric Olafsson has been a Physical Education teacher for five years. He
received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from San Diego State University.
Eric is currently pursing a teaching credential from Saint Mary’s. Eric has
been active in many sports since he was a child, but excelled the most in
football. He received numerous awards in high school for football in place
kicking and punting. Eric’s most recent achievement is competing in the
Donner Lake International Triathlon, which includes distances of a 1.5K
swim, 40K bike, and 6.5 mile run. Eric motivates the children with his
fun-loving nature and excitement.

Shelly
Valerio
Kids Sports Conditioning
Shelly Valerio is a Group Exercise Instructor
and Personal Trainer. She has been with Oakwood since it opened in 1999.
While teaching a variety of classes, some of her more popular include Cycle,
Step, Sculpting and Kickboxing. She has 28 years of teaching experience and
is certified both as an ACE Group Exercise Instructor and ACE Personal
Trainer. Additionally she holds various certifications in Spinning,
Kickboxing and her latest focus is on the development of a Bosu workout for
young and old!
Shelly has three daughters ranging from 4 to 20 years old. She has
volunteered as a PE instructor over their various years of schooling. One of
Shelly's favorite projects was her creation and development of her Boot
Camp. We are excited to have Shelly join our Kid Exercsie Program as she has
taken her programs and designed them for children. She truly enjoys what she
does.

Sue Van Dyke
Gymnastics, Kid Gym, Play with Me
Sue Van Dyke has been an instructor at Oakwood
since it opened in 1999. Sue has always been an active individual and she
loves many sports. Some of her favorites include swimming, basketball,
soccer, and rodeo riding. She has received numerous awards in various
sports. Sue has her business degree, and is also a licensed realtor. She is
currently working on becoming an ACE certified Fitness and Pilates
Instructor. Sue has always loved working with children and has spent most of
her adult life motivating kids to be active.

for me to connect with them and watch as they grow up.”
Del
Villanueva
Racquetball Coach
Del Villanueva comes to Oakwood Athletic Club
with a very extensive background in the sport of Racquetball. Del is
currently the head coach of the U.C. Berkeley Intercollegiate Racquetball
Team. He has led the U.C. Berkeley Team to eleven Conference Championship
Titles, and has the most wins of any coach in the conference in the past
fifteen years. In 1993, Del was also the head coach at U.C. Davis and that
year the team won the Conference Championships. Del recently received the
U.S. Olympic Committee Racquetball Coach of the Year Award for the ’05-’06
season. Del has taught over 3,000 camps and clinics and even received a
Presidential Sports Award from Bill Clinton in 1995. Del has had his
articles published in major magazines for over 25 years and is a recognized
clinician in the sport, including his own series of signature camps. Del is
certified through the AMPRO American Professional Racquetball Association.
He also has a B.S. in Health Care Administration, and a M.A. in Clinical
Psychology. He is currently working on getting his PhD in Clinical Sport
Psychology.

with a kid’s racquetball program.”
