Oakwood Athletic Club offers over 40 specialty classes a week that are designed for children aged 3 to 13 years old. Our classes help children develop a good attitude about fitness at a young age, and learn skills that will last a lifetime. Classes include Kid Gym, Parent/Toddler Time, Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Dance, Soccer, Basketball, and more. Oakwood’s Kid’s classes have a reputation for being a fun and safe environment for children to experience new sports and activities. All of our instructors are recognized professionals in their field and are committed to helping each child excel in their chosen sport. Ages 3- 5 years old. Children use locomotor skills, tumble, play group games, sing songs, climb on an obstacle course and play with manipulatives (balls, hoops, bean bags, etc.) Kid Gym is ongoing and complimentary to members with active family memberships. A maximum of 25 kids will be taken for Kid Gym. We appreciate your help in keeping this a fun and safe class by following the age guidelines. Kid Gym is offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays 10:15am- 10:45am.
Play with Me
Children walking to under 3 years old. Classes are structured so that children may enjoy time playing and learning with their participating parent. Play with Me is ongoing and complimentary to members with active family memberships. Parents accompany children into Play with Me class. We appreciate your help in keeping this a fun and safe class following the age guidelines. Play with Me is offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays 10:45am- 11:15am.
If children are not on the membership they must pay the guest fee to attend both Kid Gym and Play with Me. Kid Gym and Play with Me take place year round and do not follow the Kid Exercise sessions.
